The Windows Firewall works like a filter between your PC and internet, blocking or allowing connections depending on whether or not they’re deemed as safe or not.
Some times a program needs to be allowed through a firewall manually - by creating an exception for it and/or adding it to an 'allow list'.
To allow Big Time through Windows Firewall:
- To allow Big Time though Windows Firewall, click "Start" or press the Windows key on tour keyboard, type firewall, and click Windows Defender Firewall.
- Click on: "Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall" (or, if you’re using Windows 10, "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall").
- Click on the "Change settings" option, then search for TimeGameClient.exe and Big Time launcher.exe and allow them both on Private or Public networks (or both depending on your choice).
Private or Public columns: if you want to allow the game internet access when you’re connected to your home network (Private), but block it when you’re connected to a public one, such as a wi-fi hotspot, then click only Private networks, and the other way around if you want only public.
